Pit Stop

In a strange twist of fate, we headed back to California. This is something that we never would have predicted ten months ago, or even 10 weeks ago! The past 9 and a half months on the road, traveling around the Western USA, have been amazing! We are so blessed to have been able to … Continue reading Pit Stop

Iron Horse 🚂 RV Resort – Elko, Nevada

We drove from Salt Lake City Utah to Elko Nevada on Friday (9/20/19). We passed the great salt flats pictured below. In the photo below, the salt looks like snow! This was a first for us, we pulled into the Iron Horse RV Resort with no reservation. Luckily, it worked out great and they had … Continue reading Iron Horse 🚂 RV Resort – Elko, Nevada

Big Orv’s Playground – Elko, Nevada

On Saturday (9/20/19) while we were driving around Elko, NV looking for Centennial Boots, we stumbled upon this giant, wooden playground palace. It was amazing! Then someone showed up trying to give away kittens. Is there anything more adorable than kittens?! We didn't take home a kitten, but we sure wanted to!

Centennial Boots 👢- Elko, Nevada

Imagine our surprise when E found another Big Boot in Elko, NV at Albertsons grocery store! A quick Google search revealed that there are 30 Centennial Boots in Elko. What fun! We're off on another scavenger hunt. I didn't find a hard copy map like we used in Big Boots 👢 - Cheyenne, Wyoming. I … Continue reading Centennial Boots 👢- Elko, Nevada

Salt Lake City KOA – Utah

We really enjoyed the park-like feel of this KOA. There were so many great trees here. Plus, they even had grass, a welcome change from gravel parking lots. The kiddos had fun at the playground & basketball court with a lowered hoop. It was even warm enough for the kiddos to swim. I was able … Continue reading Salt Lake City KOA – Utah

Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Chocolate Factory Tour – Salt Lake City, Utah

Per the suggestion of our traveling friends, The Rookie Roadsters, we couldn't resist scheduling a chocolate factory tour at Mrs. Cavanaugh’s. Our first stop on our tour was where the candy makers dip chocolates by hand, just like they did when the store first opened back in 1964. Next, we watched a video about how … Continue reading Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Chocolate Factory Tour – Salt Lake City, Utah

Great Salt Lake State Park – Utah

After wandering around Temple Square on Tuesday afternoon (9/17/19), we headed to Great Salt Lake State Park which is about a 25-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City.  Two different tour busses arrived while we were there, so a few of my photos have some tourists in them. I'm sure we are in some of … Continue reading Great Salt Lake State Park – Utah

Thursday Doors – Salt Lake Temple, Utah

I hope you enjoy my 2nd Thursday Doors project, hosted by Norm 2.0.  I had never really thought much about doors until I stumbled upon a fellow blogger's Thursday Door submission. Doors are actually really cool!  Doors symbolize a transition from one space to another.  Doors can be closed to keep people out or opened … Continue reading Thursday Doors – Salt Lake Temple, Utah

Rock Springs/Green River KOA Journey – Wyoming

This KOA had a high tech weather station. The RV park was basically a gravel parking lot, with a great kids playground complete with, tetherball, teeter-totters, a climbing wall, and a jump pad. We didn't spend as much time as we would have liked playing on all this cool equipment, because poor K came down … Continue reading Rock Springs/Green River KOA Journey – Wyoming
