There are 25 Big Boots in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We found and photographed 15 of them for you. S really wanted to find all 25. In the end, we just ran outta time!
I like boots, I like unique artwork, and I like scavenger hunts. This project was lots of fun for us! I hope you enjoy reading this post as much as we enjoyed making it!
The eight foot tall cowboy boots have been carefully painted by local artists to show Wyoming’s and Cheyenne’s history.

I like boots. My grandad used to buy me, my sister, and my mom cowgirl boots every time we came out to visit him and my grandma in Montana. I had saved the cute, little, red, baby cowgirl boots he gave me when I was born.
My favorite Big Boots in Cheyenne, WY are, #13 Book Boot and #15 Don’t Feed the Animals.
My favorite cowgirl boots, are these red ones I just bought at “The Wrangler” (pictured behind Big Boot #17). I decided to replace the ones my grandad gave me when I was born, that were lost in the Paradise Camp Fire. I’m feeling sentimental lately. If my grandad were still alive, he would have bought us all new cowboy boots the day after we found out we’d lost everything. My mom will confirm, that these red boots look just like my red baby boots.
I’ve just gotta include this old photo of my grandad and grandma. They are standing in front of the log cabin my grandad built.
Our favorite picture book about red boots is, Gossie by Olivier Dunrea. If you haven’t already read it, you should definitely check it out.
For all you music fans, here is a link to Nancy’s Sinatra’s 1966 music video and song, These Boots Are Made For Walking.

Your Grandparents look like a sweet couple. My favorite boots are my black Ropers. But, your red ones are smart looking on you and very pretty! Love you all and missing you.

Because of my career background, I must choose the Dental theme boot. iIt was fun to see a few of the actual 8 foot boots with you when we were in Cheyene last week. What a fun way for the town to encourage visitors to see their town. Muga
