Hike #10 for 2026
We visited friends in Ashland, OR to celebrate the life of my dear friend’s mom. She was a woman who clearly loved God, loved her family, loved to be outdoors, and was always up for an adventure! We enjoyed the times that we spent with her very much. May she rest in peace until the second coming of our Lord and Savior. We were honored to be included in an afternoon hike with her beloved family. It was a beautiful hike to celebrate a beautiful life.
We hiked 3.4 miles there and back to Grizzly Peak with an epic view of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Ashland. The photos couldn’t even come close to doing it justice. My friend taught us all how to forage for wild onions which my tween/teen absolutely loved! My youngest says “I like hiking with the R family best because every time we hike with them, Miss L shows us something else we can eat!”

Those are the cutest onions!!

Gorgeous views! What strength of flavor do the tiny wild onions have? Strong, mild?
