I was hesitant to take the photo due to the circumstance. My youngest son was being picked on about his small size by boys in his trail life troop on a recent hike. He was really hurt and had separated himself from the entire group. My oldest son went to sit with him. I was in full mama bear mode – seething with anger and heartbroken – but I guess my artistic side saw that there was also something bigger happening.

1 Samuel 17:49 A young shepherd boy did a very large thing! But he was just a young kid. It can be devastating to be the subject of bullying. I have experienced this most of my life. It isn’t easy, I know. But somehow I got to age 71. I survived. It can work to an advantage in a lot of situations. I love you B. To me you’re the top shelf, the cats meow, you’re just right!
