Yesterday, my youngest son said, “Mom, I really like going to the G’s house because they have such nice decorations and pictures up whenever we go over!”
Meanwhile, my daughter has been asking to decorate for Easter since the day after St. Pat’s!
My friend, SG, changes her decor seasonally. My kiddo’s comments made me feel like I need to step up my decor game over here! Honestly though, it’s not my favorite thing to pull out bins of things and try to figure out where to put them. It’s likely due to moving so much and having to figure it out all over again each year. If you live in the same house for a long time, maybe you know where the bunny garland is supposed to go and it takes some of the mental effort out of decorating for the season. I like seasonal wreaths for the front door – I know exactly where to put them! 😂 Easy-peasy! I’m also a big fan of pulling out the seasonal books. Again, I know where they go. Easy-peasy.

I decided to pull out the Easter bins, see what we have, and give it a good collage try.

I let the kiddos make some easy rolled beeswax candles in pastel colors.

I also ordered two throw pillows for the couch/loveseat and a gingham tablecloth and napkin rings for the dinner table.

🐇 How about you, do you decorate seasonally? If so, what is your favorite Easter decoration or favorite Easter book?
I do decorate seasonally and the bunnies have been in situ since the beginning of March. Theyy’ll get put away at the end of April.

I’m sure they are lovely! I had to look up “in situ”, thanks for the new vocabulary. I love learning new words/phrases! 💗

It all looks very nice. I think people decorate because they enjoy the change for a while. It’s a different look, especially if someone’s been in the same home for a while. You go all out in so many areas – home schooling, travel, books, food. You don’t have to be amazing in every area. 🙂 Since we have been on the road for so long, our decor is minuscule. After having decorated for holidays for so many years, I don’t mind the break.

Thank you.
I think you’re right about why people decorate. We’ve moved so much I haven’t had time to get bored with our home decor! Ha!
I often miss the minimalist RV lifestyle.
Enjoy! 😊

Your decorations are lovely. I like to decorate for different seasons and holidays. Being full-time travelers now, I don’t change them out as often in our RV. However, I do quilt wallhangings for different seasons and hang them up. That is fun!

The only holiday I decorate for is Christmas, and that has been greatly down-sized due to Roxie the kleptomaniac calico.

You’re a pro!
As for myself, I don’t decorate for the other holidays except for Christmas…we don’t have enough storage space.
