Our 2nd day exploring Yellowstone National Park started with a visit to Canyon Village. The Visitor’s Center was closed except for a Ranger at a table outside, and the store/cafe was open too. Per the suggestion of the park Ranger, we decided to take South Rim Drive. We made stops at Uncle Tom’s Point and Artist Point.
Uncle Tom’s Point had an amazing view at the edge of the parking lot.

We opted to take the short walk to check out another vantage point. Honestly, I thought the view from the top of the parking lot was a little better.

Suddenly, it started to snow these little tiny snowballs. And we quickly decided to walk back to the parking lot. It wasn’t hail, but it wasn’t soft fluffy snowflakes either.

After losing our mini snowball fight with Mother Nature, we made it back to the truck and headed for Artist Point with the heater on.
Looks cold, but very pretty!

Beautiful! My Southern brain just can’t wrap itself around the thought of snow at this time of year, LOL.
