Pomegranates Baby!

We had a really fun opportunity this week to see pomegranates beginning to grow on a tree in the side yard at our rental house. We are still waiting on new flooring at our new house… It’s just been one hiccup after another… Perhaps we will move in by the end of June…

Anyways, while we wait for those floors, we are finding things to keep us busy around here. Today, one of the things keeping us entertained, was observing the baby pomegranates growing on the tree. Homeschool botany lesson ✔️.

It was really neat to see how the flowers are turning into the fruits. We have been quite partial to pomegranates ever since we visited a pomegranate farm last fall to pick and juice our own pomegranates. If you missed that post, you can read about it here:

I hope you enjoy the photos of these cute little babies!

I don’t know about you, but I am feeling really inspired to plant a pomegranate tree in our new backyard.

What fruits or vegetables are you excited about growing in your yard or garden?

  1. Love it! I miss our pomegranate bushes! We don’t have much room with our apartment but we’re growing raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, basil, tomatoes, lemon cucumbers and a kumquat tree. The raspberries have been slowly ripening up so that’s nice.

    1. You are such an inspiring gardener! I’m really hopeful about trying our luck with strawberries at the new place. I just loved your strawberry patch! I want to copy it. 🥰
