The Simple Woman’s Daybook 9/2/26

A copycat post from: A.M. Pine Hearth Ridge Reflections : The Simple Woman’s Daybook

Amy has posted a few of these in the last couple of months and they are really beautiful. I felt inspired to try a few too. I hope you enjoy it and maybe try one yourself!

FOR TODAY~

Outside my window… an overcast sky and bare rose bushes that desperately need to be trimmed.

I am thinking… how can I motivate myself for homeschool this year? I’m hoping this book helps.

I am thankful for… Shannon doing my nails so cute!

From the kitchen…tomato soup.

I am creating… a quilt block (post coming soon).

I am going… to stay home today!

I am wearing…a denim mini skirt with built in shorts (so comfy) that I got at Costco a few years ago, a long-sleeve heather black hooded t-shirt from Collin’s Lake, CA that I found at a Goodwill store in CA, a messy bun with a leopard print scrunchie, a stack of summer friendship bracelets that look like it’s 1996.

I am reading… “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” while my son reads “Eighty Pesos” for his level 6 Language Arts course by The Good and the Beautiful – barefoot, on the porch swing, on the back patio.

I am hoping…I can get a good night sleep tonight!

I am hearing… my youngest son practicing the piano (and sneezing as I type this).

Around the house… The new couch cushion covers arrived, we need to put them on – maybe after we host dinner for some friends.

One of my favorite things… getting my nails done and chatting with my stylist.

A few plans for the rest of this week… my daughter has an orthodontist check-up, I’m desperate to purchase paint for the dining room walls, I’m getting groceries and a car wash, we’re hosting friends for dinner (burgers) on Saturday.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing for you…
