Bike Ride – “Hike“?

I took my kiddos for a bike ride. My kiddos took me for a bike ride. We were invited to a birthday party about 3 miles from our house. I decided to pose as the type of mom who bike rides to events that are this close to home. I was feeling very European. The kiddos were super excited about this endeavor (this isn’t the type of thing I usually do).

I’m counting this as hike #5-b for 2025, since our hike #5 at Oxbow Nature Study Area was very short.

We biked a total of 3.2 miles on pavement and hard packed dirt/gravel roads that were mostly flat-ish. The ride there was beautiful and lovely. The ride back was hot and long. Given the opportunity, I’d do it again!
