The day after Gilroy Gardens, we spent the day in Monterey.
First things first – Breakfast at First Awakenings in Pacific Grove. If you’re anywhere near this restaurant you really should give it a try. It’s the best breakfast place – ever.

We drove to Carmel Beach and went for a stroll.

Next we did a walking tour of historic Monterey and saw the home of Robert Louis Stevenson.

We caught the sunset at Marina Dunes before heading home the next morning.

Happy end of summer 2024 friends!
If you’re traveling to the Monterey Peninsula we recommend these read aloud books that tie in perfectly:

We love Monterey! And First Awakenings although I wish they’d bring back their vegetarian biscuits and gravy they had like 15 years ago. Still a fabulous place!
