Joseph Stewart State Recreation Area – Trail, Oregon

On July 1st we headed out for a vacation in Bend, OR – unforeseeably the road trip was taking significantly longer than anticipated plus we had to reroute. We made an unexpected layover at Joseph Stewart State Park. Thank goodness we found a first come, first served site for the night. Site A23 was really lovely. The entire campground is spectacularly maintained with abundant trees providing ample shade. We had electric and water hook-up at our site. There is a dump station near the entrance. The fee was $30/night for electric hook-up sites.

We were thrilled that the campground is only about an hour from our next stop, Crater Lake National Park!
