Our good friends from Returning to Paradise invited us to come to family camp with them in July. We had such an incredible time at family camp!

We did So many fun activities. Family Camp is like a summer camp for families so instead of sending the kids off for a week, parents go along too. So us parents got to enjoy the ziplines, swimming pool, laser tag, horseback rides, giant swings, watercolor painting classes, and crafts galore! Plus they offer worship every morning and evening! Plus, we ate 3 meals a day in the cafeteria with no prep or clean up! Woo hoo!
We took our travel trailer. Other accommodations available included tent camping, rustic cabins with bunk beds, and an inn.

I also made two pens on a lathe, took a watercolor painting class, went on a 30 minute horseback trail ride, swam in the pool, and took a ride on the terrifying exhilarating giant swing.
My husband bought walkie-talkies to bring with us so that the children weren’t required to be in our eyesight the entire week. They really enjoyed the freedom! They loved the go-karts and laser tag, hanging out with old friends and making a few new ones too! The boys tried the paddle boat on the pond and my youngest tested the blob on the pond. My daughter made a beautiful wood burning plaque. My oldest was old enough to use the lathe and he loved making pens with the woodworking guys! My youngest was too light for the giant zip line but they let him carry a backpack with 15lbs of water bottles to meet the minimum weight requirement. He was thrilled!

All three of my children decided to get baptized! I’ll post more details about that later…

Leoni Meadows family camp felt like a true vacation with a great religious experience built in and we were so enriched by our week there! I hope we can go again!
This sounds like an absolutely wonderful time!

This sounds like such an amazing experience! Family camp sounds like a blast, especially with all those activities—I’d love to try the giant swing! Reading this actually reminds me of how chaotic my week has been. We just rented a dumpster to clear out our garage, and while it’s definitely not as fun as zip lines or laser tag, it feels SO good to clear out the clutter. Hoping to get everything sorted so we can plan a fun trip like this soon!

I’m afraid I’ve posted like a bazillion blog posts while you were on vacation. Don’t feel like you have to read and comment on all of them! 😁🥰💕 (although I do love your comments!) 💖
