I started this post last December (2023). We never finished the challenge so I forgot about posting it. Better late than never. π€·π»ββοΈ

You can visit www.scholastic.com to print the free winter reading challenge from Scholastic.
Hereβs what we read towards completing this challenge (we did a little double dipping between this challenge and the Winter Reading Challenge by the Idaho Falls Public Library). The Scholastic challenge doesnβt set a page requirement for books so we read a combination of chapter books and picture books.
Read a bookβ¦
β¦ set in snow

β¦ about a winter holiday

β¦ about a classic seasonal story
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, narrated by Hugh Grant on Audible
β¦ about family

β¦ with winter animals (didnβt finish this one)
β¦ about new beginnings

β¦ that is Nonfiction

β¦ with a snowman on the cover

β¦ that became a movie or TV series

β¦ that makes you laugh

β¦ about kindness

β¦ about a winter activity

β¦ that has won an award

β¦ published this year (didnβt finish this one)
β¦ while drinking hot cocoa & β¦ aloud to a family member

β¦ thatβs the first in a new-to-you series

β¦ while snuggled up in a blanket & β¦ about gratitude

β¦ in your coziest pajamas (see above)
β¦. inside a homemade fort (didnβt finish this one)
β¦ that is a seasonal story featuring a favorite character

β¦ Before bed (almost every night!)
β¦ Reread your favorite book from the past year (didnβt finish this one)
β¦. From a new-to-you genre (didnβt finish this one)
π We hope you have been inspired to check out some new books at your local library!
How fun!!!!! π€©
