We just finished this read-aloud family devotional and we really enjoyed it. We started it after we read “The Hobbit” for family read-aloud time. Unless you’re a huge Hobbit/LOTR fan and know it really well, I’d recommend reading “The Hobbit” before starting the devotional. The author takes an excerpt from “The Hobbit” relates it to a Bible passage and ties it all up with a key truth that applies to our lives today. It was a really great book.
