Extreme Book Nerd for Kids – 2022

Our oldest son (age 12) just completed the 2022 Extreme Book Nerd Challenge for Kids by reading 25 books (at least 100 pages long) in specific categories. He earned a paperless writing tablet. The challenge lists 26 categories, and he got to choose which category to skip. Here are the categories and the books he read.

  3. Non-Fiction (not biography or autobiography): “All Thirteen: The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys’ Soccer Team” by Christina Soontornvat

  1. I’ve read 12 of those 🙂 Great list! What books might I recommend…has he read My Side of the Mountain? We also really enjoyed George Muller: Guardian of Bristol’s Orphans and Gladys Aylward: Adventure of a Lifetime this year.

  2. Congratulations to your son! What a wonderful accomplishment! I have always loved to read. It’s a joy in life. My grandma would say (in her late nineties), “I can go anywhere … in a book!”
