We kicked off camping season 2022 with a weekend getaway to Yellowstone National Park!
We stayed at Rainbow Point Campground. It is located on the banks of scenic Hebgen Lake, in southwestern Montana in Custer Gallatin National Forest. We had electric hookup, but no water hookup, no sewer hookup, and no dump site at the campground. This is as “roughing it” as I get folks! Site B20 was fantastic, nestled in the pines, level, clean, spacious, near the outhouse, and really close to the lake beach. It was perfect for our Ford F-250 & 35ft travel trailer. Our campsite was 20 minutes from the West Yellowstone Visitor Center & park entrance and about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Old Faithful.

Stayed tuned for our Yellowstone National Park adventure!
Looks fun!

How fun! Have a wonderful camping adventure. The scenery is beautiful but snow the next morning?! Take care and can’t wait to hear more of your adventures. Kudos to your kids for starting the fires using flint and steel. wow!

Flint and steel. Good fire building skill to practice. I am proud of the kiddos for their success with this. Looks like a beautiful yet cold camping experience.
