I don’t know what to expect
Do we really have to go?
“An adventure” they tell me
Hoping for the best
Optimism is not my strength

Hi Betty! It’s so good to see you my friend. I enjoyed your acrostic and must share something–Idaho is one of my favorite states. I hear the hesitation in your poem. I know that moves can be hard. I made my home back here in Missouri and dream of my Idaho. Prayers for this new adventure!

Thanks for the prayers KL, we certainly appreciate them on this crazy adventure!!
I’m a California girl and it’s hard to leave “home”.
I’m glad to hear that you love Idaho! A lot of people do! I remain tentatively optimistic… 🤣

Oh friend, I would feel ambivalent and unsure too. I’m a CA girl, and if we moved to another state, it would be hard for me to accept. Moving and resettling are hard!! But it’s also a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for you and your family. Who knows what great blessings God has in store for you there???
Even still, don’t try too hard to be happy when you’re not. It’s okay to feel funky; it’s a huge transition. It’s working through it that’ll help you!!! Big hugs…
