We really like trains a lot and we could hardly wait to check out the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City, Nevada.
The main part of the museum had 2 engines and a few other train cars on the outside edges of the room with a giant map of the Transcontinental Railroad in the center floor.
We followed the “track” and took photos at Carson City, NV, Winnemucca, NV (our previous stop), and Promontory Summit, UT.
There was a small play area that the kids had tons of fun with. It’s been a long time since they played with a wooden train and track set. They were entertained for the better part of an hour.
We had some divine help with impeccable timing and ended up driving a hand car! It was so fun! We just happened to be at exactly the right place at exactly the right time for this special treat. There was a day camp visiting the museum at the same time we were. The hand car operator was running late. He just happened to get there when we were talking to the docents. The day camp kiddos had to be gathered up and brought in. So we got to sneak in a quick ride before they were ready. Oh my, what an amazing thing to get to do!
Sometimes, the less I plan, the better things turn out! Hallelujah! We hope that you experience a moment, when you can see the hand of God in your day-to-day life. He is looking out for all of us, and loving all of us in so many ways! Look for Him today.
