Favorite Winter Things

Hello friends! Happy winter season to you. I enjoy the cooler weather and snuggling up indoors with more books, movies, board games, baking and puzzles this time of year. Obviously, all of these activities pair nicely with a hot cup of tea. Here are some of my favorite things of the moment:

Strawberry & Vanilla green tea by Taylors of Harrogate and sourdough bread ready to bake

A plan on the YouVersion app for reading the Bible this year:

I’m reading the @YouVersion plan ‘BibleProject | One Story That Leads to Jesus’. Check it out here

We woke up to a dusting of snow one morning a couple of weeks ago.
I found some mini dark chocolate chips at Grocery Outlet – I’m putting them in Banana 🍌 Bread and Pancakes!
We inherited a giant pile of yard waste etc. when we bought our house – our new neighbors lent my husband their tractor to break up the humongous pile into somewhat smaller, more manageable burn piles.
I found a tiny bird’s nest on the lawn – my daughter thinks it’s a hummingbird’s.
We’ve been testing out the new board games we got for Christmas – these are some of our faves
my new Minnetonka slippers
Leia sleeping behind my head on the couch, the granny square afghan my mom made me this Christmas, and evidence of my book hoarding in the background.

❄️ Winter is when we start booking our campsites and travel plans for summer/fall. So far, we have several awesome adventures to look forward to!

❄️ What are your favorite things in the winter season?

  1. Lots of things going on! Love those light switches! And that sourdough bread. We enjoy our winter in Florida, but in the past, I liked to take a walk in new snow when it was a sunny (and not windy) day. I also like a good mug of hot chocolate with just a couple marshmallows. A roaring fire in the fireplace. And, of course, good books to read!
