Denver, CO – Sightseeing with Tween/Teens

My husband had a work conference in Denver, CO and the kiddos and I tagged along for a little vacay time. My hubs is gone all day at these conferences, he leaves at 6:30 am for meeting breakfasts and gets back to the hotel at 10 pm after client diners and networking. The kiddos and I are totally on our own. We were super happy to get a hotel that offered free continental breakfasts, this makes it so much easier to start our day. It’s not really less expensive because the cost is in the price of the hotel room, but it does make things easier in the mornings.

I used ChatGPT to help me plan an itinerary for this sightseeing adventure. I gave it the following information: “Make me a 2 day itinerary in Denver, CO for 1 adult and 3 teens. I need lunch and dinner at budget friendly restaurants with vegetarian options. We’re using Uber, so group things in a way to minimize cost. We want to do things that are unique to Denver that we can’t do anywhere else. I have tickets for the Mint on Monday at 1:30 and I have a reservation at Casa Bonita on Tuesday at 5:30.” ChatGPT generated an awesome itinerary, I made just a couple of tweaks and we were ready to go explore!

Day 1: arrive at Denver International Airport, shuttle to hotel, dinner at Moonlight Diner (near our hotel)

Day 2: Art Museum, Mint, and State Capitol

Lunch at Mad Greens

Dinner at Torchy’s Tacos

Day 3: Air & Space Museum, Botanic Garden, RiNo, and Casa Bonita *I wouldn’t recommend RiNo without a tour

Lunch at Snooze an AM Eatery

Dinner at Casa Bonita

Day 4: Day trip with my sister to Manitou Springs, CO

Lunch (to go) from Trader Joe’s

Dinner at DiCicco’s Italian Restaurant

free spumoni

Day 5: swim in the hotel pool & flight home

Lunch at Root Down in the Denver Airport

last row on the plane = best selfie!
2nd to last row on the plane = 2nd best selfie

*Next time, I’ll tell ChatGPT that I only want to walk around in super safe neighborhoods and we should be good to go!
