Denver, CO – Air & Space Museum, Botanic Garden, RiNo, Casa Bonita, Aurora Borealis

Day 2 of our Denver adventure started the same with the continental breakfast at the hotel. Then we took an Uber to Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum.

We spent about 2 hours here and it was a nice air and space museum. They had a life size replica of an x-wing from Star Wars.

From Snooze we walked 1.3 miles to the Denver Botanic Gardens. I’m calling this hike #14 for 2025. It was a gorgeous autumn walk through a beautiful neighborhood and freshly fallen leaves.

The Botanic Gardens were mostly dormant but there was a small vibrant indoor area. I felt like the tickets should’ve been discounted for off-season.

ChatGPT recommended walking through the RiNo art district. I was not impressed. I didn’t feel super safe walking around with my kiddos. There was a lot of graffiti that I personally wouldn’t consider to fit the category of street art murals. I might’ve been walking down the wrong streets but I didn’t want to stand still researching on my phone not paying attention to my surroundings. I ended up taking an Uber to our next location early.

Our Christmas gift from my sister was premium tickets to the famous Casa Bonita family-friendly entertainment restaurant. We sat right next to the cliff divers!

Back at the hotel we saw the aurora borealis before heading to bed! Amazing!
