Do we need any more books? Well… I don’t know. Perhaps, and then again perhaps not. There is definitely no room on any of the bookshelves. There are books in boxes on the floor and on several shelves in my linen closet. But that does not necessarily mean we don’t need any more books, it could mean that we need more bookshelves or less linens!
Studies have shown that kids who have easy access to a large variety of books are more successful as adults. It has been suggested that the mere presence of a home library increases a child’s future success as an adult. So, when I see a potentially good/great book at a good/great price, I buy it. I buy first – and figure out where to put it later.
I even buy books we already own if I know they are good and give them to friends and family! The kids books at this particular book sale were 10 cents each!!! 😳🤩😍

I have too many books too!! I like how you expose your kids to different genres of books and do read alouds with them. That takes commitment.

Good! I’m glad I’m not alone drowning in books. It’s a hazard of homeschooling. 🤷🏻♀️

Same issue! I get so excited to acquire new book and have stacks all over the place. I look at it and just sigh.
