Homeschool Thrift Haul – Spring 2024

Our recent expedition to Goodwill yielded some really great homeschool finds.

Family Game:

The current favorite of our youngest son is any version of monopoly – he was so excited when he found this one at Goodwill!

Children’s Books:

Added to our “I Survived…” and “Who Was…?” collections
I was really excited about finding the 5 book set of American Girl – Rebecca

Mama Book:

This one was in my Amazon wishlist

Arts and Crafts:

I love variegated yarn – the bottom two skeins are 100% wool, the top two are acrylic

DVDs (I know I’m so old school for still using DVDs):

We really like the “Spy in the…” films.

The cashier was a sweetie and after she rang up all of our things she said, “What was that? I forgot your senior discount? I’m so sorry. Here you go!” So, I snagged the senior discount at age 44 and choosing not to color my grey hair. So clutch!

We hope this post inspires you to see what treasure you find at a local thrift store!

  1. What great finds! There is a National Parks version of Monopoly (as you likely know), but it is very expensive! This post makes me want to go thrift store shopping!

  2. Ah, I still have my copy of The Daring Book For Girls; there was so much fun stuff in there (I remember following their directions on bookbinding lol.) My family and I have been thrifting more this year; thanks for sharing your haul 🙂

P.s I still get DVDs too XD.
