One of our family’s favorite authors is Beverly Cleary who hailed from Portland, OR. We have a collection of many of her books. We just had to go to the Beverly Cleary statue garden in Portland to see Ramona, Henry and Ribsy in life size sculpture.

We listened to the Ramona series on Audible before, during, and after our trip to Portland. We recommend all of Beverly Cleary’s books!
We had fun taking photos at the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden in Grant Park. There are only 3 statues. We wished there was at least one more, a little one of Ralph S. Mouse. I’d have loved to see some of the other characters from the books too.
We also recommend the film, Ramona and Beezus on Prime Video based on the Ramona book series, it’s one of our family favorites.
After our statue photo shoot we played for a bit at the nearby playground before catching an Uber to our next sightseeing spot.

Yes! I like her books but it has been such a long time. Some of the summers with the girls were spent at the local library. They enjoyed the story hour and summer reading contests.
