Our memory verse this week comes from a new Five in a Row (FIAR) manual, More Before Five in a Row by Carrie Lambert Bozeman. I really enjoy how she includes a devotional just for us parents that goes with each selected picture book. Such a genius idea!
Our FIAR book this week is Thanks For Thanksgiving by Julie Markes and Doris Barrette. It’s a lovely addition to our Thanksgiving book collection.
So far, I found 5 verses with the same words. So I guess, if we memorize all 5 texts, we are actually learning 5 memory verses at once this week!
1 Chronicles 16:34, Psalm 106:1, Psalm 107:1, Psalm 118:1, Psalm 136:1
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever.
We use, A Reason For Handwriting Border Sheets, to practice our best handwriting on the verse of the week. When we’re done with a verse we mail the completed border sheets to friends or family.
๐ฆ What is your favorite Thanksgiving book?
Thank you for the recommendation! You find the cutest kids’ books. I need to read to my kids about Thanksgiving more and not gloss it over for Christmas ๐๐๐

I love read aloud revival! And there are so many recommendations for that book and…the library doesnโt carry it so I guess weโll have to buy it ๐ My kids favorite is Happy thanksgiving Day! Because itโs one we saved from the fire.
