A while ago, I asked my dad what his favorite books were when he was growing up because I know that my grandmother used to read aloud to him. He gave me a vague description of some books about little animals that lived in the forest and they each had their own little adventure. I put that into Google with the addition of being in publication the year he was born. A few different books and authors popped up in my search and this series by Thornton Burgess seemed the most likely… But I wasn’t 100% sure and I didn’t want to spend the money to buy them on Amazon. When I found some at Goodwill, I bought all the titles we could find for $1 each. My dad sifted through them and picked out about 10 that he remembered hearing when he was a kid. Bingo! Found ‘em!

I found these A & Z bookends at Goodwill. They were $3.99 each. I felt like they were overpriced, especially since they were priced separately. I mean, seriously, if anything was meant to be a set, it would be bookends. But they are also really unique so I bought them anyways. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I figured they were probably still less than buying them new and I wouldn’t have any idea where to buy them new anyways. Leia seems to like them!

  2. You have a darling collection of spring favorite things. Now the song, My Favorite Things, from The Sound of Music, is in my head. HA Since our homebase is in the desert, we have grabbed a deep like for all things cactus, too. So fun.

    1. Every time I write a “favorite things” post I get that song stuck in my head! 😂 🎶

      Cactus stuff is very cool! 🌵 I finally have 6 matching glasses… I’ve been collecting them for the last year or so… Then there are 3 that don’t match, but they will still look cute on the table with the others.
      We don’t actually have saguaro cacti in our neck of the desert. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You probably have some in AZ though!
