Table Mountain – Oroville, California

Hike #3 for 2026

We hiked about 3 miles out-and-back on fairly uneven terrain and loose lava rock scattered with wildflowers to a pretty waterfall.

This is a special place because I grew up coming here. It’s changed a bit since social media and masses of people learning about the once secret spot. Some fences have been added to protect its beauty from being trampled by too many people. There are porta potties at a parking lot that never used to exist. The entrance is a cattle-proof pedestrian gate. We used to climb through a wide spot in the barbed wire. But it hasn’t changed too much and visiting brought back many happy memories.

💙 We hope you get to enjoy a spring hike with someone you love sometime soon!
