My Christmas gift to my sister was a ticket on the Cog Railway to the famous Pikes Peak summit at 14,115 ft elevation. My sister picked us up at our hotel and we drove to Manitou Springs a little over an hour away (way too far to Uber).

I made everyone do the face-in-the-hole board – everyone groaned but it was So Cute!

I totally messed up the seats when I booked them! I meant to get seats facing each other but instead, somehow I managed to get seats back to back! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ Oh well. We meet some really nice people from Texas on both sides!
Our conductor, Mike, was fabulous and had so many hilarious puns – if you like puns. Plus, he told us lots of history about Pikes Peak. I would absolutely recommend the Cog Railway in Manitou Springs to get to the top of Pikes Peak instead of driving the crazy hairpin turns!

Getting donuts at the visitor center is “a thing”. They’re supposed to be “amazing” – I’ve had better… but obvi we had to grab the photo op.

Of course, 14,115 ft wasn’t enough so we had to get on top of the biggest rock for approximately 14,119 ft. Ha!

Pikes Peak, CO (14,115 ft) is the highest peak we’ve visited so far! Merry Christmas sis!
🏔️ What’s the highest peak you’ve ever visited?
I have been to PIkes Peak, but it was about 42 years ago! I don’t remember it looking like this! I’m not sure what the tallest peak I have visited. That would take me some research to figure it out! This was a great Christmas gift for your sister!
