This pattern is created by the sunlight coming through the holes in the mini-blinds where they’re attached together by string.
The piece of furniture is an old metal Butterick pattern cabinet that I use as a dresser.

I like the light circles, but the thought of an old metal Butterick Pattern cabinet is most endearing to me.

Me too Betty. My mom used to drag my sister and I to “Heart’s Fabric store” and she’d spend what seemed like hours pouring through pattern catalogs. She’d call out pattern numbers and my sister and I would alternate looking for them in these metal filing cabinets. There was an antique claw foot bathtub near the cash register filled with buttons, and we’d dig through buttons while mom looked at fabric.
I found this cabinet at an antique store and when I opened a drawer and heard that metal drawer sound, I was instantly transported back to Heart’s. I had to have it. My sweet husband paid Way Too Much for it. I love it! 🥰 It is definitely a piece of furniture that sparks joy for me! I feel like it was a little way of getting back something I’d lost when we lost our home and my parents home in the fire.
