Our good friends from Returning To Paradise came for a visit! Houseguests are fun to have. We got a few little projects done around the house before their arrival, like hanging up some wall art and hurriedly stashing clutter! 🤣
I made a fruit tray for part of our breakfast together and considered it pretty enough to photograph.

The kiddos had fun bouncing on the trampoline.

To top it all off, they brought us really fun and completely unexpected gifts!

Our generous gift pack included: a gorgeous book called “Oceanology” (which will tie in perfectly when we read “20,00 Leagues Under the Sea”), 3 mystery desert animal brick builds (that I’m going to save for our next road trip), an animal figure to decorate my husband’s home office (that the rest of my family tells me is from a video game) + (I’m very uncool about video games), and a beautiful set of vintage American Girl stationary that I absolutely love! Our friends are very good gift givers!
We hope you have the opportunity to host guests in your home sometime soon! The happy memories made together certainly make a new place feel a lot more like a real home! 🥰
What wonderful house guests! And I’m sure you are a great host, too! It’s also a nice thought that having house guests makes a new place feel like home. And yes, the fruit plate is pretty enough to photograph! Looks delicious!
