Friendly Friday Photo Challenge – The Colour Pink

“Thank you” to my fellow blogger at Something to Ponder About for this fun photo challenge. If you would like to participate please visit her site for the rules. I hope you will join in the fun!

The theme of this week’s Friendly Friday Photo Challenge is “the color pink”. The creator of the challenge talks about how little girls will often report that their favorite color is either pink or purple. So far, she has received several comments from women saying that they don’t care for either one of these colors. No matter what your favorite color is, a color-themed photo challenge promises to yield a wide variety of artistic images and ideas. The challenge sounded like lots of fun to me and I’m excited to participate!

My daughter’s favorite color is reportedly “purple” but she doesn’t seem to discriminate much and has lots of pink stuff and other colors too. Her new room has been painted a lovely shade of teal so I’d say she really likes almost any color as long as it’s a vibrant hue. I’m inclined to agree with her. If I have to choose, my two favorite colors are plum (a 50/50 mix of pink and purple) and teal (a 50/50 mix of green & blue). My boys and husband don’t do too much pink so they’re absent from the following photos. Without further ado, here is my collection of pink photographs. I hope you to enjoy them!

a pink dino T-shirt and a triple pony tail
several shades of pink amongst the grape vines
Hello Kitty house key & library card from before the fire
looks like the veins of this flower bleed pink
selfie of a homemade cotton mask in plum
(one of my 2 favorite colors)
tassels and a bow to give big brother’s hand-me-down bike some personal flair
Easter basket 2020
happy summer everyone

An additional “Thank You” to fellow blogger, Sheree, at View from the Back for posting her entry for this week’s challenge (that’s where I learned about it)!

🌈 What’s your favorite color?

  1. I love that you found the challenge via one of our challengers, Sheree. Since Covid, Sheree has been very active checking her archive of photos for joining in. You have chosen a nice collection of photos to canvas here. I love the triple pony tail! and bike adornments. You mentioned the fire? I hope that wasn’t too bad?

    1. Thank you 😊
Unfortunately, the Camp Fire destroyed almost the entire town of Paradise, CA back in November 2018. We lost our home and it’s contents. We greatly sympathized with Australia’s ravaging forest fires early this year.
Thank you for stopping by our blog today and for the fun photo challenge! I loved it!

      1. I am very sorry to hear that, Betty and it would be completely devastating to lose your home and contents. Tragic that it was a camp fire! Fire obliterates everything. California is in a similar position to Australia every fire season.
Our fires were also devastating, but many homes were saved that would normally be lost. The firefighter were most courageous. The wildlife and forest have suffered even more. Farm animals too that could not escape. And yet, you have found a way to move forward and be positive about the future. That is very inpiring and I love that you have joined the blogger community. There is a lot of support and fun here. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you. Are you travelling around in your Rv?

      2. Thank you, so much, for your support and kind words!
We lived in the RV full time for about 10 months immediately after the fire. We just bought a house here in California.
Also, my name is Jen, my blog is named after my mom! 😉

      3. Ah, I see, Jen. My apologies. It is hard to know what to call bloggers, at first. Thanks for introducing yourself. I think it is lovely that your blog name is called after your Mum. The name I use, ‘Forestwood’ comes from 5 generations back in my family!!
