We had a bunch of river rocks leftover from an Ivy Kids Kit and decided to turn the rocks into smiling emoji rocks. We wanted to leave these around our neighborhood for other walkers to find. We hope that they gave a smile to anyone who found one of them!
I had leftover yellow spray paint from a Christmas ornament project, so I just spray painted all the flat-ish, circle-ish rocks yellow.
After the paint dried, the kids drew on smiling faces with a permanent marker.

Fun! This is a great alternative to the traditionally painted rocks, which I’m not very talented at 😂 It would be so uplifting to the neighbors, too.

Thank you! I was delighted to use up our leftover rocks, and yellow spray paint. The kiddos had a blast! We hope the rocks spark a little joy around the neighborhood. 😄
